The Club Constitution & Rules
“The Club” shall be known as “THE SOMERSET RAILWAY MODELLERS CLUB”

1. Objectives
The objectives of the club are to bring together persons interested in any aspect of railway modelling. To provide facilities for the building and exhibiting of model railways. To organise The Rail-Ex Taunton exhibition each year. To engage in any activities relating to model railways, such as visiting other shows, exhibitions, share information with other members and to fund raise to support the club in ways approved by “ The Committee”.

2. Membership & Subscription
New members will pay a one off registration/joining fee as outlined in appendix 1.
Membership shall be open to all persons over the age of 14 years who support the above club objectives. The classes of membership shall be as follows :-
Group A
-
FULL An adult over the age of 18 years.
- SENIOR For those members over the age of 70 years.
- JUNIOR Open to those over 14 years but under the age of 18 years. This may be extended to the age of 21 years if still in full time education.
- JOINT For two members sharing the same household.
- HONORARY Awarded by the committee for outstanding services to the club.
Group B
- ASSOCIATE Non regular or “Country Members”
