Members layouts - P: Wellfracome

Wellfracombe is set roughly around 1955-60 and depicts a small seaside terminus station served mainly by BR.SR stock but with a bit of BR.WR + MR brining holiday coaches down.
Short holiday trains (usually 2-3 coaches) and local stopping service Trains enter the layout from the fiddle yard along the gently curving "low level" line and chuff into the station, where the usual run round is carried out. Departing trains then either leave via the low level or are banked up the steep incline.
The layout has a steep inclined single track (towards the rear of the board) the idea for the layout being loosely based on Illfracombe.
There is a small goods shed / Brewery that sees some goods traffic, mainly vans.
Eventually all steam locos that operate on the layout will be Sound chipped. The current Sound roster has BrWR Collect Goods handling some freight and local passenger work with a 45xx on an auto coach train.
Br.M.R 2-6-0 Ivatt brings in a holiday mix of stanier and gresly coaching stock on specials.
SR Light pacifics handle most of the SR stock.
Other non sound locos that may make an appearance include 14xx, 57xx, Standard 4 tank, stand 5, SR N class, 8F.
It is more than likely that the 8F and standard classes will be in sound by the open day, I really find non sound fitted locos loose their appeal after about 10 minutes operation these days!
The following u-tube links show steam chipped locos climbing the bank and give an insight to the sounds.
