The class 20 from the quarry is shunting the next full load of stone, whilst the class 37 is returning to the depot for refueling. A busy seen at the station, with a DMU service from Swansea just arriving and a parcels train waiting for the main line to clear and a green signal

A local passenger service arrives from Carmarthen under the bridge carrying the freight sidings for the quarry traffic, complete with a class 20 on shunting duties. The quarry loco brings the empties up from the reception siding on the middle level, prior to driving them back up to the quarry.

A member of S & T staff checks old semaphore signal arms which have been removed following the recent upgrading to colour light signals.
