The club has purchased, from a private modeller, an N gauge scale model of Machynlleth station as it was in the 1920's, on which all the buildings have been scratch built. Machynlleth was an important junction in mid-Wales on the former Cambrian Railways, where the line from Shrewsbury via Welshpool and Newtown divides, one line going South to Aberystwyth, the other North along the Cambrian coastline to Barmouth and Pwllheli. This layout is now fixed permanently in one of the rooms and having been rewired and renovated is now fully operational. It is one of the highlights on open days.
