Tafsil's Tank Engines: New Visitors from BR days
New member, David Roberts, brought his latest aquisitions to the Chairman's running day on 29th December 2007. These are fully finished brass models from Tower Models in Blackpool. Pannier tank engines nos 5761 and 5773, as well as 14XX no. 1428 and the autocoach (W195W) all worked in the Swansea area in real life. The autotrain regularly worked the Morriston service during the 1950's, with 1428 being shedded in Landore (87E). At this time, the panniers were based in Paxton Street shed (87K).
