Two boards of the Kingswell Fairground were requested by 2BP Ltd, the Exhibition Design Agency of Canon (UK) Ltd to form the centre-piece of part of their stand at Broadcast Live 2009 trade show in Earl's Court London, February 17th - 19th.

This was a fitting tribute to the late Ray Kingswell, who built most of the working rides in his retirement and presented his entire collection to the Club in 2006, shortly before he died.

Gwynne and John travelled with the fairground and were on hand during the show to trouble shoot, having picked up the brand new backscene painted for the occasion by Dave Woolnough.

The hospitality offered by Canon (UK) Ltd. during the show was much appreciated.

The Kingswell Fairground has been booked to appear at the next South Wales Model Show in Tylorstown, in January 2010. We hope by then to have a further set of boards, including the original street scene produced by Ray, completed to go behind the existing three boards.

We wish to record our thanks to Ray Kingswell for this very attractive scenic model and are sorry to record that he passed away in April 2007.
